Drug peddler disguised as food delivery agent arrested with narcotics worth Rs 5.5 lakh
Mumbai Police who have been on high alert post the drug probe linked to Bollywood, arrested a drug peddler who had allegedly come to Oshiwara to deliver drugs to celebrities, models and aspiring actors.
Mumbai Crime Branch officials acting on a tip arrested a 40-year-old man with 139gm of Mephedrone (MD). The peddler allegedly was in Oshiwara to supply drugs to models and aspiring actors.

The arrested person is identified as Usman Anwali Sheikh, 40, a resident of Jogeshwari (W). The drugs in his possession are said to be worth Rs 5.55 lakh.

As per reports, Crime Branch officials received information about a possible drug deal at Mega Mall in Oshiwara. The officials who were watching the suspect’s movements, laid a trap and caught him

The accused was produced before court, and he has been remanded to police custody till Monday. Police believe he could give more information about people involved in the drug network.

Earlier, in Bengaluru, peddlers used a similar technique of supplying drugs by disguising themselves as food delivery agents and parcel delivery boys.
