A 26-year-old mother threw her son from the first floor of her house. CCTV footages show her arguing with her in-laws right before this shocking incident. The child has sustained severe head and face injuries.
In a shocking CCTV footage, a 26-year-old Delhi woman in a fit of rage is seen throwing off her 2-year-old son from the first floor of her home. According to reports, this incident happened in Pul Prahladpur area of south-east Delhi on January 24.
The footages were captured through two CCTV cameras installed inside the home of Nitin Gupta, a businessman, the father of the child. The video shows Sonu sitting on a bed and fighting with the in-laws while the child sleeps next to her. Soon, the woman gets hysteric, throws objects around, then suddenly picks the child, goes to the staircase of the first floor and throws the child off. The in-laws run down to save the child.

The police have registered a case of attempt to commit culpable homicide under Section 308 of Indian Penal Code after the father of the kid lodged a complaint against the mother, named Sonu Gupta. The CCTV footage shows that the incident happened on January 11. However, the complaint has been filed on January 24. As of now, the woman has not been arrested by the police.
According to the Hindustan Times , the police claimed that the fall has caused severe head and face injuries to the child. DCP south-east Romil Baniya was quoted by the daily as saying, “On January 24, we received a call from Nitin Gupta saying that his wife threw his son off the staircase. We recorded his statement and took the child for a medical examination at AIIMS trauma centre. A case was immediately registered against Sonu Gupta, and the investigation is on.”
The police also confirmed that the medical history of the woman would be checked as the in-laws have claimed that she has short-temper and often throws a fit.
