COVID-19: Third case of coronavirus from Andhra Pradesh, 55-year-old man tests positive

Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam reported it's first coronavirus case after a 55 year old man from Allipuram tested positive. With this the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has now jumped to three.

Vishakapatnam: The patient arrived at the Vishakapatnam Airport in Andhra Pradesh from Saudi Arabia on March 12 and his samples were sent for testing and yesterday the lab report indicated that the man is infected with deadly coronavirus. It is reported that some of the other passengers, who were screened are being monitored and the test results of their blood, sputum samples are awaited. Those patients are advised social distance and rest at home. 

With this AP man testing positive, now the total count for COVID-19 has reached 194 in India. Among them, 32 are foreign nationals. In the last two days, 11 new cases have been detected from Maharashtra, Karnataka, UP, AP and Chhattisgarh. 

The AP government has asked people not to panic at the same time appealed to the public to take preventive measures like keeping their hands clean, washing their hands with soap frequently, avoiding touching their face and taking rest in case if they have any symptoms like fever, cold, cough, body pain and nausea, and report it to the nearest hospital.
