The Central Bureau of Investigation broke its silence with regard to the probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

In a statement, the agency said: "CBI continues to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. There are certain speculative reports in media that the CBI has reached a conclusion. It may be reiterated that these reports are speculative and erroneous."

The statement comes after some media reports which claimed that the CBI is set to submit its closure report before the Patna court in the next few days.

Responding to the reports, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy had also tweeted, saying: "According my information the media reports that CBI is closing, by a final report in the Sushant's unnatural death FIR in the next two days, is wrong. Why are so many in Mumbai in such a huge hurry to close the case?"

Earlier this month, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences' Forensic Medical Board had submitted the autopsy reports of Rajput to the investigating agency ruling out murder theories as the actor's cause of death.
