Bengaluru Violence: Accused P Naveen who put out controversial post remanded to custody

The accused confessed that he is responsible for the controversial post on Prophet Muhammed that led to four deaths in police firing and several properties damaged. He will be sent to Parappana Agrahara Jail as he has been remanded to judicial custody.

Bengaluru Violence case accused and relative of MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthy, P Naveen, who posted a controversial post on Prophet Muhammed which led to arson, death and damage has been remanded to judicial custody.

Naveen was remanded to custody after Cyber Crime Police placed evidence before him about his timeline of ‘controversial posts’. Seeing no escape route, he accepted responsibility.

Naveen who uploaded a controversial post on Facebook on August 11, is being held responsible for the deadly violence which led to four deaths in police firing to contain the violent mob.

The mob also set the police station and the MLA's house on fire.

As per procedure an accused remanded to judicial custody will have to be in jail for 14 days until the next inquiry begins. At present, he is not required for any inquiry.

Naveen the nephew of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy was arrested on August 12.
