Mukul Roy’s security cover got upgraded to ‘z’ category in West Bengal
The Union Home Ministry has upgraded security for BJP's all-India co-president Mukul Roy just before the start of the Assembly polls. The centre will give him Z class security. So far, he has been getting Y plus class security.
In a letter sent from the Union Home Ministry, Mukul Roy will get Z-class security from Thursday (March 25). According to BJP sources, Mukul Roy is going to contest the assembly elections after 20 years. BJP has nominated him from Krishnanagar South.
According to official sources, Mukul Roy will now enjoy a ‘z' category cover during his movement in the state.
An official said, “The Union Home Ministry has directed the VIP security unit of the CRPF to undertake the upgrade.”
After joining the BJP, getting central security has become a virtual norm. By joining the BJP, small and big leaders have got the security of paramilitary forces.
