Mamata slams PM Modi; says BJP government is closing down central concerns
West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday (March 23) alleged that the Centre is selling off government concerns and only Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "factory of lies" will remain.
Addressing an election rally here in Purulia district, Mamata Banerjee said, “The BJP governments in the two northeastern states have rendered thousands of government employees jobless.”
“They are closing down all central concerns. Only one factory will be there, that of Narendra Modi's lies and the BJP's fraud,” she added.
The Trinamool leader also warned about the voting machine once again. She said, 'I am telling the workers to check the voting machine frequently. If the vote count comes to thirty, turn the machine off and on twice. If the voting machine is not functioning properly, don’t vote until the defects in the machine is fixed. The voting machine has to be guarded.”
Urging people not to vote for "goons from outside", Mamata Banerjee asserted that she is not afraid of any intimidation and will fight back if threatened.
Election to 294-member state assembly will be held in eight phases from March 27 to April 29. The results will be announced on May 2.
