Mamata Banerjee urges people of Bengal to vote in large numbers
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday (March 27) urged people of the state to vote in large numbers as the first phase of the assembly polls begins in the state.
Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “I call upon the people of Bengal to exercise their democratic right by coming out and voting in large numbers.”
The BJP and the TMC have been at loggerheads with each other on various issues in the poll-bound state. Several members from TMC have defected to BJP and vice versa.
After being injured, Mamata Banerjee tried her best efforts in the election campaigns to prove that she is a Royal Bengal Tiger who can’t be defeated by anyone.
The Bengal CM even termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as Duryodhana and Dushasana.
The first phase of election in the state started on Saturday morning around 7 am and it will continue till 6:30 pm.
