Mamata Banerjee leads ‘Padyatra’ on wheelchair in Nandigram
On the last of campaigning, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a padyatra (footmarch) on Tuesday (March 30) in Bhagabeda in Nandigram.
In a video, Mamata Banerjee can be seen wheelchair-bound with her supporters as she leads the padyatra. The Trinamool leader walked around in a wheelchair for 3 km. She held a public meeting at Sonachura.
Mamata Banerjee has been wheelchair-bound after she was injured in an alleged attack on March 10. The padyatra is being held on the last day of campaigning for phase 2 of the assembly polls on April 1.
The most 'high voltage' center of this election will be Nandigram in East Midnapore. That center is the center of all the attractions of the election this time. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee is the candidate in this center. On the other hand, her rival is BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari.
Before the second phase of voting, both the candidates were seen campaigning in different parts of East Midnapore.
On the other hand, Union home minister Amit Shah will hold a roadshow in Nandigram on the same day.
