BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Tuesday (March 9) slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after she recited mantras (hymns) from a religious text, Chandipath while addressing a meeting of the Trinamool Congress party workers at Nandigram.
<p>Mamata Banerjee said, “I do Chandipath before stepping out every day. The BJP must not play its Hindu card with me.”<br /> </p>

<p>Slamming Mamata Banerjee, Kailash Vijayvargiya said, “She has been the chief minister for ten years. She should talk about development in the state. Instead, she is reciting Chandipath to prove that she is a Hindu. What wrong has she done that she has to recite Chandipath from a stage?”</p>
