BJP's manifesto for Bengal polls offers comprehensive vision for transforming state: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the BJP's manifesto for the West Bengal polls offers a comprehensive vision of the party's agenda for transforming the state.
Unveiling the election manifesto on Sunday (March 21), Union home minister Amit Shah said, “The BJP will ensure the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme and the PM-Kisan programme in the state, besides giving at least one job per family.”
PM Modi tweeted, “BJP’s Sonar Bangla Sonkolpo Potro offers a comprehensive vision of our Party's agenda for transforming West Bengal. It addresses various aspects of good governance. Would urge you all to have a look at it."
Amit Shah said that the BJP has decided to call their manifesto a 'Sankalp Patra' because it is not just a manifesto but a resolution letter for West Bengal by the country's largest party.
In the manifesto, it was mentioned that Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented in the first Cabinet and refugees who have been staying here for 70 years will be given citizenship. Each refugee family will get ₹10,000 per year for 5 years.
In the manifesto, the BJP promises to build a "Sonar Bangla" by providing employment and strengthening social security schemes.
