AIMIM to declare number of candidates for Bengal polls on March 27
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday said that his party will announce the number of seats it will contest in the West Bengal assembly polls on March 27.
Asaduddin Owaisi also said that the number of seats to be contested by AIMIM will be announced in a public meeting at Sagerdighi on March 27.
The AIMIM chief further disclosed that this decision was made after discussing with Furfura Sharif peerzada Abbas Siddiqui.
The Indian Secular Front has already formed an alliance with the Left and Congress parties under the Sanjukta Morcha.
Asaduddin Owaisi had kept his mouth closed on speculations regarding his participation in the upcoming West Bengal polls.
Election to the 294-member West Bengal assembly will be held in eight phases that will begin from March 27. The results will be declared on May 2.
