How to find me time in a stressful job?

If there’s a complaint that people often make, it is the fact that they aren’t able to strike a work-life balance and are constantly tired. But guess what? A basic restructuring of daily activities could in fact allow you to have some semblance of work-life balance.
Don’t respond to emails or text messages: Drawing the boundary between work and home begins with you. Unless you make a conscious choice not to attend work calls, emails or texts, you will always find yourself drawn into this tangled web. Also, a bit of freedom from work allows you to relax and take a break from work-related stress. If you feel like you can’t switch off your phone, then you have to stop yourself from working at home.
Meditate or Exercise: None of these activities have to be done every day. However, including a bit of exercise or meditation helps you experience more happiness. Practise meditation or take deep breaths while you’re on your way to work. If you can’t hit the gym every day, then do it at least twice a week.
Switch off your phone: This may seem drastic but disconnecting yourself from technology for a while could indeed help you relax. This habit not only distances you from your job, it also allows you to be present. Take in the best of what the present moment has to offer and let your mind concentrate on the now.
Delegate work to others: Developing this attitude at home will lessen the burden on you and will allow your family to feel more included in your life. Rope in your spouse to do the grocery shopping or to pick up the kids. If you’re single, then hire help around the house so that you don’t have to take part in more chores once you go home.
