ISL 2020-21: Jorge Ortiz's brace allowes FC Goa to drub Jamshedpur FC
This was FC Goa's fifth win of the 2020-21 Indian Super League season, as along with three draws and loses each, it has risen to the third spot. Jamshedpur FC suffered its fourth loss of the season, while with three wins and four draws, it stays at seventh.
In another one-sided encounter, FC Goa drubbed Jamshedpur FC 3-0 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru, on Thursday. With this win, Goa has risen to the third spot, while Jamshedpur stays at seventh.
The opening half saw three attacks within the first 15 minutes, including twin saves from both. Nonetheless, three minutes later, Jorge OrtÃz put Goa ahead, with his right foot, to the bottom-left from the centre, following Alberto Noguera's assist.
It was followed by six more attempts, including twin further saves from Goa goalkeeper, Naveen Kumar. Nevertheless, Goa held on to the lead at half-time.
The second half saw the first attack of the half, in the 48th minute, being denied by Jamshedpur keeper, Rehenesh TP. However, three minutes later, OrtÃz doubled it similarly, only to hit it this time to the other side, thanks to Brandon Fernandes's assistance.
There were 11 more attempts made thereon, including three saves from either. Nonetheless, Iván González, who tripled it for the host with his right foot, to the bottom-left from the centre, courtesy Alberto Noguera's assist. It was the game's final attack, as the referee blew the full-time whistle in its favour.
