TMC workers shot dead at his house in North 24 Parganas

A 35-year-old TMC worker was shot dead in his house in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Saturday (January 23) evening.  

<p>The name of the deceased is Rumani Khan. He was a resident of Gwalapur in Barrackpore’s Number 18 ward. The incident caused a stir in the area.</p>

<p>According to sources, the attackers were keeping an eye on Rumani’s house. As soon as, Rumani’s daughter Karishma stepped out of the house, they barged in and shot him.<br />&nbsp;</p>

<p>The TMC worker who was a close aide of a former Trinamool Congress councillor, was fired twice. Rumani Khan was taken to the hospital immediately after the attack. However, he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.<br />&nbsp;</p>

<p>Following the murder, local TMC leaders reached Khan’s house and urged the police for a thorough investigation.<br />&nbsp;</p>
