Bengal BJP leader Krishnendu Mukherjee has alleged that he was attacked by miscreants of Trinamool Congress who opened fire at his car in Asansol. Mukherjee claimed that he somehow saved himself from the attack after the miscreants failed to open the car’s doors.

<p>The BJP leader alleged, “As I was returning home in Asansol's Hirapur from Kolkata on Sunday night, three miscreants, whom I suspect to be TMC goons, stopped my car near my house and tried to open the doors, failing which they opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle.”</p>
