Delhi Weather LATEST Update: Will It Rain in Delhi Today? IMD Issues Latest Monsoon Forecast
Delhi Weather LATEST Update: Delhi-NCR continues to battle intense heat and humidity even as monsoon advances across much of India. While recent showers brought temporary relief, residents are still waiting for full arrival of the southwest monsoon

Delhi-NCR Gets Brief Relief, But Monsoon Wait Continues
After days of scorching temperatures, several parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed light rain and thunderstorms, offering temporary relief from the oppressive heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that more light to moderate rainfall is likely across Delhi, Haryana and Punjab between June 29 and July 1, with another spell expected around July 5.
Despite these showers, the southwest monsoon has not fully reached Delhi, leaving the region under hot and humid conditions. The combination of high moisture levels and weak winds has made temperatures feel significantly higher than the actual readings.

Heat and Humidity Continue to Trouble Residents
Although daytime temperatures have remained between 38°C and 44°C, the humidity has pushed the "feels like" temperature close to 50°C in many parts of the capital. The uncomfortable weather has made outdoor activities difficult, especially during the afternoon hours.
The IMD has also warned that heatwave conditions could persist in parts of Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh through June 29 and June 30. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and keep track of weather updates as conditions may change quickly.
Delhi Records Warmer Nights Amid Delayed Monsoon
The delayed arrival of the monsoon has also resulted in unusually warm nights across the capital. According to the IMD, Delhi experienced its highest average minimum temperatures during the March-to-June period in the last few years, making this pre-monsoon season more uncomfortable than usual.
Warmer nights reduce the body's ability to recover from daytime heat, increasing the impact of prolonged hot weather. Meteorologists expect weather conditions to improve once the southwest monsoon establishes itself over Delhi and the surrounding NCR region.
