Stay hydrated: You need to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Coconut water or organic fruit juices can also work. This will help you function more effectively and will keep you refreshed.
Warm lemon water: Drink lukewarm water stirred with few drops of lemon and a teaspoon of honey in the morning, every day after waking up. This helps in reducing belly fat.
Orange and Carrot detox drink: This one is a perfect winter drink with the seasonal fruit of orange and seasonal vegetable of carrot. Both the foods are known to flush out toxins from the body and aid weight loss. The addition of ginger and lemon is an extra bonus.
Avoid sweets and spices: Keep your tongue under control, and don’t indulge in sweets for these couple of days. Diwali is all about gulab jamuns, jalebis, kheer, and so many more. So keep patience till then and avoid all sweet dishes and spicy dishes.
Breakfast: Breakfast is the best meal for the whole day. Never skip your breakfast and always have a healthy one. Have two bread toasts with a boiled egg, and if you like to intake caffeine, then have a black coffee without sugar or opt for skimmed milk.

Maintain sleep cycle: Do not get sleep deprived or sleep at odd hours. It affects digestion leading to acidity problems. Afternoon nap and sleeping in late nights may affect your weight input, so try to maintain a sleep cycle.
Healthy food: Try to include healthy food like a good amount of protein, vitamins, and fibers in your meals or snacks, and at the same time, try to avoid carbohydrates in your meals. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and replace sugar with jaggery or honey.
