Who is Mallika Prasad?

The highly anticipated trailer for Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3 was unveiled yesterday. The actress, who has completed 30 years in Bollywood, will reprise her role as ACP Shivani Shivaji Roy in the YRF film. She is now managing a case involving missing children. 

The teaser depicts young girls of the same age range being abducted, which is far more dangerous than the case of human trafficking handed over to Shivani when she joins NIA. During the inquiry, Shivani discovers the leader of the human trafficking enterprise, Amma, played by Mallika Prasad.

Mallika Prasad is an actress, director, teacher, and theatre artist. The actor, who was born in Bangalore, holds a master's degree in performance making from Goldsmiths College at the University of London. Later, she studied at the National School of Drama, where she earned a postgraduate diploma in acting.

Kanooru Heggadithi, released in 1999, marked the beginning of her filmography. Her first main part was in the 2001 film Guptagamini. She is a well-known Kannada actress, with films such as Mussanjaya Katha Prasanga, Garva, and Magha Mayuri to her credit.

Her credits include the series The Killer Soup, which stars Konkana Sen and Manoj Bajpayee. Then there's her role in Anurag Kashyap's Almost Pyaar, which stars DJ Mohabbat.
