Sushant Singh Rajput's father speaks about his 'gifted child', Ankita Lokhande

Sushant Singh Rajput's father broke his silence and spoke to a local media house about his son and his struggles

12 days have passed since Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home on Sunday (June 14). Mumbai police have already questioned many; from his cook to caretaker and managers, to his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Mahesh Shetty, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
 

On the other hand, his fans have been crying foul over “nepotism” and Bollywood biggies preventing outside talent from growing. Many actors have shared their feelings and thoughts on it.

Reports say that he was battling with depression, but his fans are trying to put a few pieces together to prove that it was a “planned murder”. Many have gone to the extent of enacting the process of hanging.

After 12 days, Sushant's father, for the first time, spoke to a media house called Tadka Bollywood, to which he opened up about many details.

His father said that after a lot of prayers, God blessed him and his wife with Sushant and called him a gifted child. He said he was a bright child who wanted to live life on his terms.

His father recalled the time when Sushant gave the news of bagging the lead role on Pavitra Rishta and the film after that. Sushant's dad said, "Bohot mannat maang ke paida hua tha Sushant. 3 saal mannat maangi thi uske liye. 4 ladkiyon main ek ladka tha," adding, "Aur jinke liye itni mannat maangte hain unke sath yahi hota hai"

After his mother died in 2002, he chose a spiritual path. He said, “Pehele toh sab bolta tha par last me kya hua, usne bataya nahi. Dekhiye ye sanjog ki baat hai, jo likha hota hai woi hota hai. Hum pressure nahi dete aur ye soch ke chalet the ki isko pressure kis cheeze ka na de.”

He also spoke about Ankita Lokhande and said that he had met her not just in Mumbai but also in Patna. When asked about her, Sushant's father said, "Ha wo aayi bhi thi, Bombay bhi aayi thi aur Patna bhi aayi this." Speaking about their relationship, he said, "Yeh toh sanjog hai, jo hona hota hai hota hai."

 He also said that Ankita was the only girl he ever spoke to who was from Sushant's life. Ankita and Sushant were in a relationship for more than 6 years; however, they parted ways for certain reasons. They met on the sets of a popular TV show Pavitra Rishta and had even planned to settle down and started to live in together.

Sushant last film Dil Bechara's release date was announced. The film will premiere on OTT platform Hotstar on July 24.
