She may have left for the world, but for me, for us, she is still around. She is wishing us well and taking care of us and is still around.”</p>

But, nonetheless, I’ll make an attempt to say this all over again because I relive the moments and the process of falling in love. It happened the first time I saw her onscreen. This was probably in the late 70s when I saw a Tamil film. I said to myself this is someone I would like to have in my film,” he said.</p>

<p>Boney was all set to start a new movie in which he planned to bring in Rishi Kapoor. However, before he signed Rishi, Boney wanted to check with Sridevi whether she would take the role.</p>

<p>Later, he signed her for Mr India with Anil Kapoor. He said that when he went to the sets of Mr India and met Sridevi for the first time, it was almost like a dream come true.</p>

<p>Boney recalled those days the mothers of the female actors used to decide the commercial aspects, so he went to Chennai to meet Sridevi’s mother.</p>

<p>Her mother quoted him Rs 10 lakh as she was the highest paid female actress of the time. To which, Kapoor said, “No, I’ll pay her Rs 11 lakh. That’s how I got close to her mother.”</p>
