Mimi Chakraborty’s 'Dhunuchi' dance video will win your hearts
Durga Puja evenings are incomplete if men and women, boys and girls don’t take the floor to dance to the rhythmic beats of dhak and bells, holding earthen pots billowing a fragrant smoke. The impromptu dance is called Dhunuchi Naach, a prominent custom and one of the most awaited activities during the evening Durga aarti every day. This time, actress and Trinamool MP Mimi Chakraborty performed Dhunuchi Naach on the day of Bijoya Dashami in her complex puja.
The actress posted the video of her Dhunuchi Naach on social media. This year, Durga Puja was celebrated in a different way due to the pandemic. People were not allowed to do pandal hopping. There were several restrictions imposed by the government during the puja days.
Amid all these restrictions, Mimi Chakraborty managed to celebrate Durga puja in her apartment. The actress followed all the necessary precautions. Bijoya Dashami is the last day of the festival when Goddess Durga is bid adieu for a year.
Mimi posted many pictures of celebrating Durga puja on social media. She was seen taking part in all the rituals.
In a video which Mimi posted on social media, it was seen that Mimi was performing Dhunuchi Naach in white kurta and palazzo.
The actress danced to the beat of the dhaks (traditional drums). Athough she was in a mood of celebration; she maintained all the precautions. Mimi was seen wearing a mask everytime.
The actress was seen giving sanitizer to every visitor. She made sure that everybody maintains social distancing.
Actress, MP Nusrat Jahan also danced on the beats of Dhak in a puja pandal. She was seen wearing a red and white saree. The actress had a mask on her face.
Actress Priyanka Sarkar has also posted a video from puja pandal. The actress did not forget to wear a face mask even though she went to puja mandapa. Whether dancing in the mandapa or celebrating with families, the celebrities did not forget about the necessary precautions.
