Young Rebel Star Prabhas's craze needs no introduction. He's a hero with a global image. With the movie Baahubali, he created a record as the first pan-India star from Tollywood. Not only that, he gained fans worldwide.

Even after three pan-India flops post-Baahubali, Prabhas's craze hasn't diminished. Producers and directors are still lining up to work with him. He has a huge foreign fanbase too.

Thanks to Baahubali, the Rebel Star gained die-hard fans in countries like China and Japan. He has a strong following in Japan. There have even been instances where Japanese fans traveled to India at their own expense to see Prabhas.

Japanese fans often gather near Prabhas's house. Post-Baahubali, Prabhas mania took hold in Japan, influencing their fashion. Fans incorporated Prabhas into their style with small cutouts, Baahubali costumes, and Baahubali dolls.

After RRR, NTR's craze grew in Japan, and people eagerly awaited his films. Devara, released in India in 2024, hit Japan in March 2025. It was a super hit, collecting well. The craze for Telugu heroes that began with Prabhas continues in Japan. Rajamouli is making a pan-world film with Mahesh Babu. It remains to be seen how Japan receives Mahesh Babu when this film releases there.
