Virat Kohli credits wife Anushka Sharma for inspiring him to open animal shelter, actress reacts

Virat Kohli continues to cement his legacy as the reigning best batsman in the world while has been an excellent husband to Anushka Sharma. He has time and again credited her for inspiring him for numerous social causes, including one for the animals.

Virat Kohli has been having a great time with Team India, both as a batsman and the skipper. At the same time, he looks to attain success with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, he has also gained high success with his Bollywood wife, Anushka Sharma. The couple has been in the headlines since 2013. Their marriage followed in 2017 and the birth of their daughter, Vamika, this year.

Ever since Anushka has come into his life, he has credited her for being a role model and inspiring him to work for social causes. Recently, Kohli once again credited her for inspiring him to open an animal shelter.

Kohli took to his social media handles to share a post on Sunday, which happened to be World Stray Animals Day. "Today, on World Stray Animals Day, we are announcing our collaboration with leading animal healthcare company #VivaldisAnimalHealth & @AwaazStray, NGO supporting stray animals, we’ve come together to build safe spaces & ensure easy medical access to the stray animals of our city," a post by Virat Kohli Foundation read.

Kohli followed it up on his personal handle, where he wrote, "To ensure health & support to stray animals, @vkfofficial has now taken its first step towards animal welfare in collaboration with Vivaldis. I want to thank my wife @AnushkaSharma for inspiring me by her passion towards animals & for being a constant advocate for animal rights."

Meanwhile, Anushka reacted to the same by sending out heart emojis on Instagram.

Virushka has over the years expressed their love for animals, as they also have adopted a couple of dogs.

This happens to have been clicked at home. While the couple looks cute in this together, what makes it even adorable is their pet dog. Both are seen pampering it.

Kohli enjoys quite a lot with one of his adopted dogs.
