DC scripts a couple of unwanteds
DC failed to hit a single six in its innings. It was only the second time in IPL that it had done so while batting full 20 overs. Also, it was the first time that Sharjah did not witness an IPL six in an innings.

Rishabh Pant breaks a couple
Pant scored 39 runs today. As a result, he became the all-time highest run-scorer for the side in the tournament. However, he was run out for the seventh time in the competition, the most for DC.

Winning the toss, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan opted to bowl, as DC could manage a below-par total of 127/9, with Steven Smith and Rishabh Pant being the top scorers, scoring 39 each, while it was a consolidated bowling effort from KKR. In reply, KKR had hurdles, but the pair of Shubman Gill (30) and Nitish Rana (36) ensured that the side saw it through and eventually did so by three wickets.
