IPL 2021: A look at the records scripted as MI pulls off sensational win over KKR
Mumbai Indians is the defending champion of the Indian Premier League 2021. It was MI's opening win of the season after losing the first game. Meanwhile, KKR suffered its maiden loss of IPL 2021 after winning its opener. While MIis placed second, KKR is at fifth.
In what turned out to be a mysterious comeback by the defending champion, Mumbai Indians tamed former champion Kolkata Knight Riders by ten runs in Match 5 of the 2021 Indian Premier League at the MA Chidambaram (Chepauk) Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday. With this win, MI has risen to the second spot, while KKR is placed fifth. In the meantime, we take a look at the records scripted in this tie.

Marco Jansen scripts an unwanted
Jansen was yet again dismissed for an unfortunate duck after having suffered a similar fate in the opening game. As a result, he has become the third batsman to be dismissed for the same in the opening two IPL games after Jesse Ryder and Ashton Turner.
Andre Russell scripts a best
Russell was the star of KKR's bowling attack, as he managed a fifer in just a couple of overs. With a figure of 5/15, he produced the best one for KKR, while it was also the best against MI. He also scripted the best bowling figures in a defeat in the competition.
Match summary
After being invited to bat, MI posted a modest total of 152 courtesy Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, while Russell's five-for was impressive. In reply, the KKr openers went off to a brilliant start, contributing 72 runs. However, the remaining batsmen were dismissed in single figures, thanks to Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya's mature bowling.
