ICC World T20 2021: Team India has a new jersey

The 2021 ICC World T20 gets underway from Sunday. Ahead of the global competition, Team India has launched its customary new jersey. Check it out.

It is that time of the years when the entire cricketing world has been gripped in the Twenty20 (T20) fever. The estimable 2021 ICC World T20 gets underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman from Sunday.

India has been participating in the tournament since its inaugural edition in 2007 when it had won it under MS Dhoni's leadership. As India gets set to compete for the seventh time, it would be looking to lay its hands on the coveted title for the second time.

As a tradition, every team wears a customary jersey for the tournament in each edition. In the same light, Team India has launched its newest jersey for the competition this term.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India took to its social media handles to announce the same. The jersey looks similar to the latest design it dons, which is dark blue, while it has some slanting patterns on it, which happens to be wavelengths of sound, inspired by the cheers of billions of Indian fans.

"Presenting the Billion Cheers Jersey! The patterns on the jersey are inspired by the billion cheers of the fans," BCCI captioned the post.

India would take part in the Super 12s of the competition, taking on arch-rival Pakistan in its opening encounter on October 24. It has been pitted in Group 2, along with Afghanistan, New Zealand and a couple of qualifiers.
