West Bengal reports 1,541 new COVID-19 cases; 31 more deaths

 West Bengal reported 1,541 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 5,44,755. The COVID-19 toll in the state rose to 9,536 on Friday (December 25) with 31 more people succumbing to the disease.

<p>According to the state health bulletin, 1,954 people recovered in a single day and went back home from hospital. However, the recovery rate in the state stands at 95.54 percent.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;</p>
