New COVID-19 guidelines issued for market places
The Health Ministry has issued new COVID-19 guidelines for market places. These include fines for not wearing masks and discounts for shopping during lean hours. The SOPs outlined that market places in containment zones shall remain closed.

According to the SOPs, COVID-appropriate behaviour in marketplaces may be regulated by market associations through a number of measures.
It also suggested setting up mask dispensing kiosks at government-approved rates at entry points of markets and parking lots.
The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health specifically require that a person over the age of 65, a pregnant woman, and a child under the age of 10 must stay at home in areas where the risk of infection is high.
According to the new guidelines, market associations will have to form a sub-committee to facilitate the implementation of COVID-19 guidelines.
Considering the whole situation, arrangements have to be made to open the market every alternative day.
