Kerala records first coronavirus death, 69-year-old dies in Kochi

Kerala recorded its first death of coronavirus on March 28. The deceased had a travel history to Dubai.

A 69-year old coronavirus patient, who was admitted to the Kalamassery Medical College, Kochi, died on Saturday morning. With this, Kerala recorded its first coronavirus death.

The man is a resident of Chullikal in Kochi. He had returned from Dubai on March 16.

His wife too had tested positive and is being treated in the same hospital.  According to reports, the man showed mild symptoms upon his arrival.

He was home quarantined. On March 22, when his health deteriorated, he was shifted to the hospital.

A few day ago, the man who reportedly has a heart condition too, was placed on a ventilator. On Saturday morning, he passed away.
