Karnataka: Under PPP model, KSRTC builds 200-bed COVID care centre to treat employees free of cost
With the rising COVID-19 cases in Bengaluru, it is becoming difficult to accommodate patients in various hospitals in Bengaluru. As per the Karnataka government’s advice, COVID care centres are to be developed to manage asymptomatic and mild cases in COVID care centres. The KSRTC’s COVID care centre will be open from August 6
The Karnataka State Road Transportation Corporation (KSRTC) sets ups its own COVID care centre
This was done under PPP model at Sri Basaveshwara Bus Station premises in Peenya, Bengaluru
COVID Care Centres are to be developed to manage asymptomatic and mild cases, according to the Karnataka government
The centre in Peenya with 200 beds in phase one was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi
The centre has an emergency ward and a 10-bed ICU, which is equipped with cots, monitors, oxygen supply and oxygen concentrators
The centre will function from August 6 and 10% of staff of sponsors will be treated at government fixed rate
