This is the first time a Mollywood movie is made on the life of a transgender. This movie portrays the life of a transgender, their childhood and difficulties.
Anjali Ameer, an actress, model and a transgender turned woman had given her best wishes to the movie on Facebook. Anjali said she couldn't control her tears when she saw a scene from the film. She also said that the movie is a mirror to the real life of a transgender. She is sure that this movie will be come out as one of the best movies in Malayalam. She said her respect and love towards Jayasuriya and Renjith has increased immensely. She also wished the entire crew of 'Njan Marrykutty' all the best.
Famous makeup artist and transgender Renju Ranji has also appreciated the movie before its release. Renju has said Marrykutty is not alone there are a lot of Marrykuttys in our society. She also said if the society calls us Marrykutty then we will be really happy than being called as transgenders.
