Actress Bhavana who got engaged to Kannada producer Naveen in a simple ceremony this year in March said she would not quit film post marriage.
In an interview with Asianet News, the actress opened up about her fiance, marriage plans and Malayalam film industry.
Bhavana said that Mollywood is a male-dominated industry where an actress has very less freedom to chose the movie she wants to act, whereas male actors have all the powers.
She also said the filmmakers give priority to male actors and actresses get the second place in the industry. Even after so many hits in a row, my remuneration remains still the same, but male actors get pay hike with every hit, she said.
Bhavana pointed out that no one offered her a higher remuneration after a movie turned a runaway hit, but thanked the audience for all the support they gave to her.
Talking about her fiance Naveen, who is Kannada filmmaker, she said, "Naveen is someone who respects women and supported me in my endeavours. I am working in the film industry since she was 15 and won't stop acting post wedding," she said in the interview.
The actress also encouraged women to entry film industry, “Women should not hesitate to make an entry to the films.”
On her working front, Bhavana is busy shooting for a Kannada film 'Tagaru.' She was last seen in Prithviraj's 'Adam Joan' and 'Adventures of Omanakkuttan.'
