Samantha back from her wedding joins in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 promotions

Tollywood leading actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu married actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya amidst a closed group gathering in Goa on October 6th. Now she’s back to her professional career promoting her upcoming film Raju Gari Gadhi 2 slated to hit the silver screen on Friday. This film has a special meaning as this is the first release after her wedding.

Talking to the media as part of the film’s promotional activities, Samantha confessed about the extra responsibility of carrying the Akkineni name. She hoped to live up to the expectations of the family and uphold their trust.

She appreciated the fact that Akkineni family showed equality between genders and expressed her happiness in being able to continue working in films even after marriage. She claimed that her character in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is different.  The film stars father-in-law Akkineni Nagarjuna, Seerat Kapoor, Ashwin, Vennela Kishore Shakalaka Shankar and Naresh among others. The film has been directed by Ohmkar.

But her one satirical remark didn’t go well with the media when she commented that she doesn’t understand why she was present in some films. Every actor goes through up and downs but the characterisation and acting ability sustains them as a star and Samantha earned super stardom because of her glamour roles in commercial films which should not be looked down upon.

Samantha is active in the social media has officially changed her name to Akkineni Samantha.
