Prabhas has gained a lot of fame worldwide after SS Rajamouli's Baahubali (Part 1 & 2) became a big hit across the world. The superstar has now added another feather to his cap in the form of a wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Bangkok. The wax statue was unveiled at the museum on May 2.

A few pictures of Prabhas’ Madame Tussauds wax statue are going viral on social media. The actor has overcome established South Indian actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to become the first actor from southern cinema to be featured at Madame Tussauds. The statues feature Prabhas as his famous character Amarendra Baahubali from the movie.

Earlier in a statement, Prabhas showed his excitement by saying, “I am really happy to have been selected by Madame Tussauds’ and I think this was only possible because of fans. I am also thankful to my guru, SS Rajamouli, for the opportunity to work on this fantastic project Baahubali.”

The news first hit the headlines when SS Rajamouli took to Twitter on last October and posted: "Very happy to announce that Madame Tussauds is making a wax statue of our PRABHAS.. First South Indian to be honoured thus. [sic]"

According to the reports, Prabhas met with artists who took more than 350 photographs in reference. These photos, along with pictures of the statue, are now doing the rounds on social media.

Other Indian actors to have their wax statue at Madame Tussauds are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Katrina Kaif.
