We all know that Dileep and his fans are having a tough time for the last two months as the actor was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the Kochi actress attack case and has been lodged at the Aluva sub-jail.
Recently, several Mollywood celebrities such as Jayaram had visited Dileep in jail, along with his wife Kavya Madhavan and daughter Meenakshi.
Ramaleela, the political thriller starring Dileep, was one of the most-anticipated films in Malayalam this year. Unfortunately, the release of the movie, which was supposed to hit theatres in July, was delayed after Dileep's arrest. However, now the makers have finally revealed the release date of Ramaleela.
According to sources, Ramaleela will hit theatres on Friday, September 22. In a recent interview, director Arun Gopi and producer Tomichan Mulakupadam have together announced that the team has decided to not wait for Dileep's release, before releasing the movie.
Reportedly, Dileep wanted Ramaleela to release only after he got out of jail. According to several reports, the actor feels that this is not the right time to release the movie, as he currently has a negative image in the public.
In Ramaleela, Dileep will be seen in the role of Ramanunni, a politician. Radhika Sarathkumar and Renji Panicker play pivotal roles in the movie, which features Prayaga Martin as the female lead. Music is given by Gopi Sunder.
