After the massive success of 'Premam', director Alphonse Puthren is all set to start working on a new project. The young director also announced that his new film will be in Tamil, not Malayalam.

Alphonse has posted a casting call for the film and requested ladies with the ability to sing to ‘apply’ for the lead role. In a post filled with typical Alphonse humour, he also pointed out that knowledge about Carnatic music will help, as he himself has no clue about it.

All three female leads from Premam  - Anupama Parameswaran, Sai Pallavi and Madonna Sebastian - were debutants but rose to fame after the film's release.

"I'm going to start working on the third film which has nothing new in it :D This time we are looking for a girl who knows to SING and ACT. Age 16 - 26. Note... If you sent photos alone I wouldn't understand whether you sing or not :D Please don't pitch correct or touch it with a software... We are from cinema... We also know to use softwares :D (sic)," the post reads.

Premam (2015) had played a massive role in helping Mollywood transcend boundaries and impress film lovers from across the country. The film ran for over 250 days in multiplexes in Chennai.

Alphonse is also looking for two assistant directors - one male, one female - for his new film.
