Blame Kattappa for not releasing Baahubali 2 in Karnataka

'Baahubali 2', the grand epic conclusion of 'Baahubali 1' is slated for release on April 28. "We will not allow the movie to be released here. To register our anger, we will take a protest march from Town Hall to Freedom Park," said Vatal Nagaraj. He has also called for Bengaluru bandh on April 28.

He further said that their protest was not against the movie but against Sathyaraj, who plays 'Kattappa' in the movie.

It may be recalled here that during Cauvery agitation, Sathyaraj had made derogatory remarks against Kannadigas some years ago. He allegedly called Kannadigas "dogs" earning the wrath of Kannadigas. "Even Kannadigas including Sandalwood actors joined the Cauvery agitation then. But we never made derogatory comments on Tamilians," Vatal Nagaraj pointed out.

Another Kannada activist Sa Ra Govindu, who is also the president of Kannada Film Chambers of Commerce said unless Sathyaraj apologises to Kannadigas, the movie will not be screened here.
