Since Kareena Kapoor is expecting her first child, she told the filmmakers in question that she couldn't accommodate the film in her date diary.

Sonakshi Sinha too declined herself taking recourse in the same excuse (No, she’s not pregnant too, we meant the unavailability of dates) but it was evident she was not interested working with the much older Chiranjeevi.

A source close to Chiranjeevi says, "Chiru was quite flummoxed when he registered a hat-trick of cold replies from B-town actress. He would often wonder what made the three Bollywood heroines refuse a film which stars him."

"Chiranjeevi was very keen that either of the three actresses come on board, but when time started running out, he had no choice but to consider playing himself opposite others," the source added.

Southen actress Kajal Aggarwal, however, was interested in working alongside Chiranjeevi and has accepted the role with open arms. She will be joining the shoot in the third week of August.

Chiranjeevi's comeback movie will be a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi which starred Samantha as the heroine.

Actor Ram Charan will produce Chiranjeevi's 150th film, while V V Vinayak will wear the director’s hat. "Vinayak and Ram Charan were also confused about Katrina, Kareena and Sonakshi's rejection but they have put a brave front and went about their other tasks diligently." The movie will be under Konidela Productions banner.

According to a report an entertainment website, Katrina was asked to star opposite the South star, but she politely refused the offer. It is said that her decision came as a shock to the entire South film industry.
