FollowMelbourne Recital Centre on Friday was sight to behold. Indian cinema fans came in huge numbers just to catch a glimpse of their favourite actress and global icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Adoring crowds waved out to her as daughter Aaradhya saw it all with a beaming smile. She did not seem scared at all with all the noise that was going on around her.
Aishwarya was there at the Indian Film Festival which is being held in Melbourne. A huge crowd flocked to Federation Square to see Aishwarya take part in a flag hoisting ceremony prior to August 15.
It was a moment of pride for both mother and daughter as they watched the Indian tricolour fly high. They also sang our national anthem with the crowd.
Thanking Melbourne for giving such an honour to her, Aishwarya said, “Thank you so much Melbourne, thank you everyone for giving us such a moment of pride and happiness with so much love and warmth. Celebrating our 70th Independence Day will forever be such a beautiful memory for me and my dearest Aaradhya.”
