For all Abhi-Aish fans, this news seems to be the highlight of the weekend. Fans saw the husband wife duo star in Mani Ratnam’s Guru and then in Raavan in 2010, after which, the couple were seen acting in separate movies.
With Guru, the love story of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai blossomed, the chemistry was there for all to see. It also helped that Mani Ratnam’s film locales and direction only enhanced it further.
Now sources in the film industry are talking of the trio coming together again. This film will be Mani Ratnam’s latest Hindi film after Raavan. Since a long time the director has been focussing his attention in the South. His latest being Karthi-Aditi Rao Hydari Tamil film Kaatru Veliyidai.
Aishwarya and Abhishek have worked together also in movies like Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2 and Sarkar Raj.
If the buzz is to be believed then Abhishek and Aishwarya may also be coming together in an Anurag Kashyap production. According to a report in Stardust magazine, the duo will be coming together for a romantic comedy, however whether they have agreed to the film is still unconfirmed.
Abhishek Bachchan has refuted these rumours but knowing the special relationship the duo share with director Mani Ratnam, this could be very much a reality. This is what Abhishek has been quoted as saying, "For us to come together again, the script has to be really special. We can't just be in a film together for the sake of being together."
So does it mean, Mani Ratnam’s next will be the special film we are all waiting for?
