FollowSpyder starring Tollywood's prince Mahesh Babu is finally out with a brand new teaser. Directed by the blockbuster filmmaker AR Murugadoss, Spyder also stars Bharath, Rakul Preet Singh and S. J. Suryah in the lead. Mahesh Babu plays a hi-tech spy who is out to catch a deadly villain.
That villain is played by actor-director SJ Suryah, whose face is hidden in the teaser. The movie is full of a fast-paced, edge-of-the-seat actioner where we can see some hi-tech action sequences, hi-fi gadgets and a face-off between Mahesh Babu and SJ Suryah.
Here are a few things we should not miss in the teaser:
Mahesh Babu: He is one of the most stylish actors in the South film industry. In the movie, he is playing the role of a whip-your-ass intelligence officer. In the trailer, you will see him doing action scenes and also romance the actress Rakul Preet Singh. And, how can we forget his mind blowing dialogue delivery.
Rakul Preet Singh: In the movie, she is playing a role of a bubbly girl who loves the protagonist Mahesh Babu. Both actors are pairing up for the first time
Fight scene: From the looks of the second teaser, this is going to be an epic face-off between Mahesh Babu and SJ Suryah. We can’t wait!
Destructive Villain: The lead antagonist role, played by SJ Suryah has a joker vibe to it. He wreaks havoc in the city. Suryah's character seems to derive a sense of purpose by killing people in large numbers. In the teaser he says, “Like government, earthquake, and tsunami, I also make contributions to keeping the growing population under control.”
The teaser has a few similarities from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight: Mahesh and Suryah's face-off in an investigation room reminds us of the Batman and Joker interrogation scene from The Dark Knight.
Suryah is seen wearing a burlap mask, a speciality of the Batman villain Scarecrow played by Hollywood actor Cillian Murphy. The same scene also had Suryah rambling in front of a camera, which is something Joker does in The Dark Knight.
Location: The film crew has completed the shoot except for a song, which will be filmed in a European location.
The second teaser promises the audience a powerful, and a ruthless, destructive villain, lot of special effects and several action packed scenes.
Mahesh has dubbed for his Spyder character in Tamil. Spyder also marks his debut in Kollywood. Bharath and RJ Balaji will also be seen in important roles. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music for the film. The film is all set to release during Dussehra on September 27 in Tamil and Telugu.
