Mangaluru: The ongoing drug cases in Karnataka have alerted cops across the state. Several cases of drugs being seized, and people being arrested for consumption of drugs in almost every district of Karnataka have been reported. Another such case was registered in Mangaluru on Tuesday.

Seven people were arrested for consuming marijuana in a raid conducted within the Mangaluru division of Excise Department on Tuesday.

The raid was carried out under the instructions of joint excise commissioner Shailaja Kote.

The team that raided was led by superintendent Vinod Kumar and deputy superintendent Shivaprasad.

The team also seized 500gm of marijuana during the raid. Cases have been registered against the accused, the sources said.
