Ex-BJP corporator Rehka Kadiresh's murder case: Three more including nephew nabbed

In a breakthrough in ex-BJP corporator, Rekha Kadiresh's broad daylight murder case, the Bengaluru Police have arrested three more persons. Arul, Puroshotham and Ajay Arul, nephew of Rehkha's husband Kadiresh have been nabbed.

A day after ex-BJP corporator Rekha Kadiresh's shocking murder and shootout by police to nab two accused on Friday, three more people were arrested on Saturday morning.

An investigation by West Division Police into ex-BJP corporator Rekha Kadiresh from Chalavadi Palya ward resulted in the arrest of three more persons today and the total arrest has reached 5 so far in the case.

Yesterday, the police had to shoot the victim's former bodyguard Peter and his associate 20-year-old Surya who attempted to flee at Electronic City.

Further investigation led to the arrest of three more persons -- Arun, Purushotham and Ajay. The interesting thing to note in this case is Arun is the nephew of Rekha's husband Kadiresh, a rowdy sheeter who was also killed two years ago.

Old rivalry and real estate dispute is being looked into the investigation for the possible motive for the murder.

Rekha is said to be the second wife of rowdy Kadiresh and was stabbed 17 times on the neck and other places and the incident was captured on CCTV on Thursday.

Following the rowdy activity and broad daylight murder, Revenue Minister R Ashoka has said that city will be cleaned from such incidents in the future and are measures are being taken.
