Bangladeshi woman tortured, allegedly gang-raped in Bengaluru, case registered against 5 including a woman
In a shameful incident, a young woman was held by five people including a woman and tortured. The incident that has gone viral creating a storm in the North East community particularly in Assam. The Bengaluru Police has registered a case. The victim is recuperating in another state and will be reached out for her statements.
A viral video of a 22-year-old woman, a native of Bangladesh, being brutalized by beating, inserting a beer bottle in her private parts and being gang-raped has gone viral sparking an uproar in the North East.
It is said the incident happened a few days ago and has come to light now. The Bengaluru Police has registered a case and based on the screenshots of the accused from the video, have nabbed them and a case has been registered at Ramamurthy Nagar Police station.
The Bengaluru Police in a press release late on Thursday said the woman is from Bangladesh and a victim of human trafficking and all the people seen in the video are also part off the same group.
The police claim that due to financial constraints, the accused in the video assaulted the victim.
It is said that Assam Police also held a meeting and sought details from Karnataka Police in this regard. Since the victim is recuperating in Kerala, Bengaluru cops have been sent there and they will later produce the victim before the magistrate to record her statement.
