Actress plots brother's murder for objecting to affair; arrested
In a shocking incident, a Kannada actress was arrested in connection with murder of her brother and dumping his mutilated body in the forest. The police said Shanaya Katwe along with her lover Niyazahmed Katigar decapitated Rakesh Katwe and threw his mutilated body into the forest.

As per the reports, Shanaya was upset with Rakesh for objecting to her affair with Niyazahmed Katigar. On April 22, Shanaya was in Hubballi for her upcoming film promotion. On the same day, Katigar and she strangulated Rakesh and then decapitated his head, mutilated his body. Later they stuffed the body in a sack and dumped it in Devaragudihal forest in Northern Karnataka's Hubballi area.
As per reports, Katigar along with three other friends cut Rakesh's body into pieces and the body parts were thrown in different parts of the forest area.
Shanaya debuted in films in 2018 with 'Idam Premam Jeevanam' and later bagged a role in adult comedy 'Ondu Ganteya Katha.
The police produced her to court which remanded her to judicial custody.
