17-year-old comes out for early morning walk, allegedly shoots himself, stress suspected

In yet another case of suicide, a 17-year-old boy, a Uttarakhand native reportedly shot himself in the head with his father's pistol. The victim identified as Rahul Bhandary is said to be a rank student and secured over 90 percent in his 10th board exams And currently, he is pursuing II PU from Army School.

Bengaluru's central-north part went into shock as a 17-year-old boy was found dead near the bus stop.

The victim identified as Rahul Bhandary and a rank holder from Army School and currently was pursuing 2nd PUC.

According to information, the victim had the habit of waking up early and coming out for a walk at 3:30 am to tackle studies stress, and today he had done the same thing.

As he did not return, the family panicked and tried calling him on his mobile phone but there was no response. The police team which came to the spot after being informed by walkers about a body lying in a pool of blood noticed the bag and a pistol. On the preliminary investigation, it appeared as suicide and as the phone kept ringing again, cops attended and told that the person they are looking has shot himself.

The family including his elder sister who rushed to the spot were in a state of shock seeing his body

DCP, Central, Anucheth MN, after seeking a report from the jurisdiction told that, the victim son of retired Havildar Bhagath Singh and the family hails from Uttarakhand and they were living in a rented house in Sadashivanagar limits.

The victim carried the licensed pistol and was aware of its operation as this was taught by his father himself. The bullet entered the victim's head from the right side and it exited from the left side, said the DCP.

A case of unnatural death under the relevant IPC section was registered and the body was shifted to MS Ramaiah Hospital where the autopsy will be conducted.

In the same jurisdiction, two students from IISc have committed suicide in the last seven days. On Tuesday, a Rajasthan native pursuing Ph.D. was found hanging at his hostel room.
