Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are to inaugurate the 2021 Indian Premier League resumption in the United Arab Emirates. The two would clash in Match 30 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

MI could likely field three pacers against CSK in the evenly balanced track in Dubai, which majorly assists the pacers. Furthermore, with MI known for its major bowling attack, former Windies legend Brian Lara has suggested that MI uses Australian pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile as its third pacer throughout the tournament.

Speaking to cricket.com, Lara said that since the pitches in UAE are generally dry due to the hotness, it generates more bounce, as using Coulter-Nile would heavily assist MI in the pace, while he can also turn out to be handy with the bat. He also feels that although the pitches somewhat help the spinners, the side can also go with a couple of spinners in the XI.

Meanwhile, Lara rated MI as the favourites to retain the title, considering that it won its last game in Chennai, while it is well aware of the conditions in the Gulf, in which it thrived the previous season. He also backed the side to overpower CSK in this clash.

However, Lara was wary of CSK's poor track record in UAE, and despite the side having dominated in India, he feels that things could go haywire for MS Dhoni and co hereon. He thinks that the side lacks dominance, despite the team being well-gelled, while it is likely to qualify for the playoffs. Nonetheless, bringing in more all-rounders, especially Moeen Ali, is expected to aid it.know what to work on and just exactly where the team's at," he concluded.
