There seems to be no stopping Virat Kohli anytime soon. Rated as the best batsman globally, he is currently nailing it for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2021 Indian Premier League.

Although Kohli was going through a rough patch before IPL 2021, he has seemingly bounced back to form. On Thursday, during RCB's game against former champion Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Kohli smashed his 40th IPL half-century.

As a part of the celebration, Kohli acknowledged the RCB dugout by raising his bat. Immediately, he gestured towards the stand, where all the members of RCB staff were seated, including the wives and closed ones of the players.

Kohli blew a kiss in the air, directed towards his Bollywood wife, Anushka Sharma. He was also seen performing a cradle, a portrayal and dedication to his newborn daughter, Vamika. The celebration was even special as he became the first player to score 6,000 runs in the IPL.

RCB managed to win the game in a dominating fashion, by ten wickets, thanks to his and uncapped Indian opener Devdutt Padikkal's 181-run opening stand. With this win, RCB stays unbeaten in the competition this season, so far, as it has consolidated the top spot in the points table.

Match summary
Winning the toss, RCB skipper Kohli elected to bowl first. Although RR was off to a nervous start, it made a speedy recovery, thanks to Shivam Dube and Rahul Tewatia. However, the RCB openers, in the form of Kohli and Padikkal, were just too good to handle for the RR bowlers.
Brief scores: RR 177/9 (Dube- 46, Tewatia- 40; Siraj- 3/27, Harshal- 3/47) lost to RCB 181/0 (Kohli- 72*, Padikkal- 101*; Parag- 0/14) by ten wickets.
