Rajasthan Royals has parted ways with the head coach, Andrew McDonald. While an official announcement is awaited on the same from the franchise, the replacement coach's call is to be made soon.

According to a report by ESPNCrcinfo, the franchise is trying to renegotiate a different role with McDonald, while he was hardly active during the IPL Auction 2021 last week. Furthermore, it all happens following the appointment of Kumar Sangakkara as the team director.

McDonald had signed a three-year deal with RR in 2019. However, the side's performance since then has not at all been impressive, having managed to finish seven and eighth, respectively. Nonetheless, the side did manage to produce a top player, as all-rounder Rahul Tewatia has been called up to Team India for the upcoming Twenty20 Internationals against England.
